- ➤ IMG Academy in Bradenton has agreed to pay a $1.7M fine after federal investigators found that from 2018 to 2022 it processed tuition payments from individuals connected to a Mexican drug cartel — its new leadership in 2023 implemented a compliance program. FOX 13 Tampa Bay

- ➤ Officials of Bungalow Beach Resort announced on Tuesday, Feb. 18 that rebuilding will soon begin near Bradenton. Construction will be done in phases and more details will be shared as plans are finalized (stay tuned for updates). ABC7
