- ➤ Manatee County will open cold weather shelters on Monday, Feb. 23 and Tuesday, Feb. 24 to help residents face frigid conditions. The Salvation Army at 1204 14th St. W. and Under One Roof at 407 57th Ave. E. in Bradenton will provide shelter with set check-in times. Manatee County
- ➤ A procession is scheduled for today in Bradenton to honor fallen FHP Trooper Michael Diego, where community members and law enforcement will gather at a designated site to pay tribute. ABC7
- ➤ Local activist Pat Simmons launched Fix In '26 to boost accessibility by placing stickers in businesses with support from local officials.
