- ➤ Palmetto-based Westbound & Down will perform a mix of Southern rock, Kickin' Country, and Rock n Roll at Motorworks Brewing, a highly awarded venue with over 50 medals and Florida’s largest beer garden. The event will bring a lively music experience to local fans. The Bradenton Times

- ➤ Sarasota county has lifted its burn ban amid persistent dry conditions and officials urge residents to use caution because heat, wind, and low humidity keep fire risks high. Manatee county ended its ban on March 20 (reminding locals that if the KBDI rises above 500, the ban will return). ABC7
- ➤ Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller is hosting a free, drive-thru Community Shred Day on Saturday, Apr. 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Manatee County Fairgrounds in Palmetto (1402 14th Ave. W.) to help residents securely dispose of personal documents and hard drives to prevent identity theft.
