- ➤ A 15-year-old was struck by a car on Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m. at 15th Street East and 13th Ave in Bradenton — the teen ran toward a bus stop, was alert and in stable condition, and was airlifted to All Children’s Hospital while southbound 15th Street East was temporarily closed. ABC7

- ➤ A Bradenton man (Nicholas Shermer) was convicted on Wednesday of second-degree murder after shooting his girlfriend Amanda Shoaf in their shared apartment during an argument over her birthday plans, and he now faces a sentence of 25 years to life. ABC7
