CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A 16 year old boy was arrested after shooting a 17 year old boy in a drug deal gone wrong in Summerwoods subdivision in Parrish on Sunday at around 1:30 p.m.—the injured teen was airlifted to a Tampa hospital in critical condition while police tracked the suspect using surveillance and a canine unit. WFLA
- ➤ Demetrius Tyrone Bell, 51, was sentenced to life in prison by a county judge after shooting a male coworker and forcing a female coworker to leave at the Tropicana Plant in Bradenton in 2023; he was caught in April 2024 after nearly a year on the run—his charges include attempted murder, aggravated assault, armed kidnapping, and firearm possession.
