  • Gas prices reached a four-year high on Memorial Day weekend (national average hit $4.56 per gallon on May 21) while Bradenton drivers pay about $4.47 a gallon. AAA forecast future high prices due to rising holiday travel and reduced supply.  ABC7

  • NOAA released its hurricane outlook (predicting 8 to 14 storms, including up to 6 hurricanes) and advised local residents to stay ready as El Nino and warm waters may boost storm severity.  ABC7
