- ➤ On Thursday at 2:30 a.m., police in Manatee County chased 27-year-old Brendarius Pittman after he stole a Kia Sorento, drove over spike strips, and crashed into a retention pond near the Sarasota-Bradenton airport—he was later arrested on charges of grand theft auto, driving with a suspended license, fleeing to elude, and possession of marijuana. - ➤ Bradenton Police arrested 16-year-old Tremaine Brooks on May 23 after he robbed a taxi driver at gunpoint in the 500 block of Martin Luther King Avenue West—he was identified as 'Bob' from a photo lineup after a WhatsApp ride request from Palmeto—and he now faces charges of armed robbery with a firearm, juvenile in possession of a firearm, violation of probation and violation of a risk protection order.
