- ➤ Bradenton officials said a 4-year-old boy died in a structure fire at 116 53rd Avenue West on June 15 while his 48-year-old mother suffered burns and was taken to Blake Hospital—investigators confirmed the fire was unintentional and no foul play is suspected. ABC Action News

- ➤ Al Donadi, a musician who has played live weekly on Florida’s west coast for 10 years, is set to perform at Siesta Key Oyster Bar while working on a new album. - ➤ Florida gas prices were $2.95 per gallon on Sunday, down 14 cents from the previous week with Hillsborough County averaging $2.96, and AAA said rising tensions between Israel—Iran led to a 13% jump in crude oil prices last week. - ➤ Phosphate mining projects are being reviewed using a 2013 environmental impact statement that many say fails to account for the cumulative effects on local waters and wildlife habitats—raising concerns about public health and environmental safety in the region.
