Officials announced that Nathan Benderson Park will expand with a new indoor facility (designed to support year-round sports and events for local residents) with construction details to be shared soon.

The third Annual Christmas in July returns to Village of the Arts this Saturday, July 18, from 11 am to 4 pm (free street parking plus extra parking available at 13th Ave and 12th Street lot) where galleries, shops, food, gemstone mining, and a bead bar bring holiday spirit.

Local school districts have released calendars for the 2026-27 school year; start dates range from Aug.

10 to Aug. 13 and the calendars include holidays, early dismissals, and severe weather makeup days for Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, and Polk counties (check local listings for exact dates).
