- ➤ The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office said detectives are searching for 27-year-old Courtney Faith Stanley, who fled a Walmart theft investigation on Tuesday with her unrestrained 2-year-old daughter in the car — authorities reported the child was believed to be in danger after the suspect hit a deputy. - ➤ Manatee County Animal Welfare reported that on July 29 a pink crate with three abandoned cats was found near the 1700 block of Lena Road, with one cat dead and two in critical condition at Bishop Animal Shelter while investigators search for the person responsible (tips can be reported to 941-742-5933).
