- ➤ Myron Schuck, a longtime Ellenton resident known for managing Orban’s Nursery — he also ran his own irrigation company, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home on August 6. Funeral services are scheduled for August 22 at First Baptist Church of Parrish and a Celebration of Life will be held on August 23 at The Clam Factory in Bradenton. The Bradenton Times
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A federal appeals court reinstated a lawsuit brought by pastor Arthur Huggins against school Superintendent Cynthia Saunders after he was forced to leave a board meeting in 2019 amid protests over a local charter school. The ruling means Huggins will go to trial and press claims under state law since Saunders lost her immunity for ordering his removal. The Bradenton Times
