- ➤ Severe thunderstorms with 50 mph gusts damaged homes and left a child in critical condition at the Shadow Brooke Mobile Home Park in Palmetto on Sunday, August 24 and emergency responders arrived around 3 p.m.—they provided tarps, cleared debris, and used drones to assess the damage. ABC7
- ➤ A severe storm on August 25 damaged multiple homes in the Shadow Brooke Mobile Home community in Manatee County and swept away a carport, prompting local emergency crews to deploy tarps and clear debris—residents reported no injuries—while one family plans to move after concerns over their home’s structure.
