- ➤ City workers removed the sidewalk art at Village of the Arts on Tuesday after receiving an FDOT directive—warning that noncompliance could lead to a withholding of state funds if the artwork is not taken down, and the move affected several local installations. The Bradenton Times
- ➤ Manatee County voters elected grassroots commissioners to rein in sprawl—prompting Gov. Ron DeSantis to launch a DOGE audit that challenges the county's spending and growth policies.
