- ➤ Seventy-five veterans returned from their Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. and were welcomed Tuesday night at the St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport—hundreds gathered with signs, music and heartfelt messages, and Honor Flight will fly one more event in late October. WFLA

- ➤ Mr. Jerry Turner was named Coolest Teacher of the Month at Dorothy C. York Innovation Academy after a Daytime crew surprised him during a segment sponsored by Cool Today. The honor was given on September 17 at 10:00 a.m.—highlighting his classroom work and dedication. WFLA
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A health insurance trade group said that insurers in Florida will continue to cover vaccine costs despite Gov. DeSantis' push to end vaccine mandates. The group said coverage includes all ACIP—recommended immunizations, such as COVID-19 and influenza vaccines, with no cost-sharing for patients through the end of 2026. The Bradenton Times
