  • Woodland Community Church hosted Fall-A-Palooza on Oct. 19—families enjoyed live entertainment, face painting, food trucks, a candy trail and fall treats while kids wore costumes for trick-or-treating—and the event brought the community together.  ABC7

CULTURE NEWS

  • Bradenton's Clancy’s Irish Pub & Grill will host The Klick Band, a five-member group that plays a mix of music from the Beatles to ZZ Top—drawing fans of all ages. Bassist and manager Chuck Church said the band strives for perfection and offers a lively set in a relaxed, coastal venue.  The Bradenton Times
  • Luna and The Warriors will perform at Bradenton's Beer Garden and Taproom where they will play original rock songs and fresh covers—bringing a new sound to local fans.  The Bradenton Times
  • Flamingo Bay Brewing Co. will host live music with Lindsey Reel, who brings an eclectic mix of genres—offering an unforgettable no-cover evening at the family-friendly venue where guests can enjoy craft brews.  The Bradenton Times
  • Frankie Lombardi, a drummer and singer with Dickey Betts and Great Southern (since 2000), will play acoustic solo and duo sets at Waterside Plaza today where the venue also hosts live music, yoga, and a farmers' market for local residents.   • ARConnection will perform Unscripted Jazz Dialogues at Fogartyville on Friday, Oct 24 — doors open at 7 p.m. and the live show starts at 8 p.m.; the event features guest artists Pete Carney and Mauricio J. Rodríguez who join the quartet in creating music on the spot.  The Bradenton Times
  • Oscura in Old Manatee will host Chad Price Peace Coalition featuring Doghouse Roses, Mark Wagner and The Bad Habits in a live concert that blends punk and folk-prog sounds. Doors open at 7 p.m. and music starts at 8 p.m.—tickets are free for ages 21 and up and cost $10 for those under 21.  The Bradenton Times

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Anna Maria Island Turtle Watch said a record season produced 16 green turtle nests that hatched 1,225 young and 463 loggerhead nests that yielded nearly 29,674 hatchlings — the absence of major storms helped boost hatching success. Director Kristen Mazzarella noted that the number of nests has doubled in the last 15 years, showing a steady improvement in turtle survival.  WFLA
