Here's your local news at a glance for Wednesday, the 12th of November.
Good morning, Bradenton.
🎭 Culture
Folk singer Jack Williams will perform a post-Thanksgiving show at Building Bridges Coffeehouse in downtown Bradenton on November 28 at 7:00 pm — the venue, run by a local fellowship, suggests a $20 donation at the door.
Williams, known for his mix of folk, rock, and jazz, brings an all-American Southern sound from his South Carolina roots.
🏛️ Government
Manatee County leaders say smart growth will help the county make better use of new housing and public services instead of blocking all development.
They stress that building near homes and jobs will lower road costs and keep the community strong—while keeping space for farms and natural lands.
🏈 Sports
Jared Stancil—an adaptive golfer for Braden River High School—is named this week’s Athlete of the Week and leads his team as the season nears its end.
He credits his teammates and his dad for his success while overcoming challenges with Down Syndrome and gaining attention on social media.
