- ➤ Church Women United of Manatee County held their annual Migrant Tea at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bradenton to give migrant families essential items—clothes, shoes, diapers, and school supplies—to support their education. Donations went to the Migrant Education Program and Just For Girls to help ease challenges like poverty and frequent moves. ABC7
- ➤ The Rod and Reel restaurant reopens at 3246 East Bay Drive on Holmes Beach this Friday at 8 a.m.—employees have finished renovations after Hurricane Milton washed away the pier last year, and owner Oliver Lemke said the new location is a first step toward rebuilding the iconic pier.
