GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Manatee County Commissioners voted 5-1 to direct staff to propose two design plans for the Cortez Marina at the former Seafood Shack parcel, one with a boat launch and one without. Local residents expressed safety and traffic concerns during the meeting (including members of the Concerned Citizens of Cortez Coalition). The Bradenton Times
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A Bradenton teen underwent nearly 17 hours of surgery at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, where doctors amputated her left leg due to an infection worsening her rare condition.
